Tim Walz’s Desperate Attempt to Tarnish Trump Falls Flat Over McDonald’s Visit

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz launched a desperate attack on former President Donald Trump after the former President worked the fry station and served drive-thru customers at a Philadelphia McDonald’s on Sunday. Trump was seen in the video wearing an apron, learning how to make french fries, and interacting with customers.

In a post on X, Walz referenced Trump’s long history of opposing workers’ rights. He accused Trump of consistently supporting policies that benefit corporations at the expense of workers. Walz also pointed out that Trump has long been an advocate for policies that cut benefits and wages for working-class Americans.

Walz then took a jab at Trump’s lack of working-class credentials by highlighting the claims of his running mate, Vice President Kamala Harris, that she had worked at McDonald’s. Harris had previously claimed to have worked at the fast-food chain while she was in school, where she worked as a fry cook and cashier.

However, the Washington Free Beacon reported that Harris had never mentioned working at McDonald’s during her campaign or in her two books. The outlet also noted that McDonald’s was not listed on her job applications or resumes. A campaign ad for Harris from August also referenced her alleged work at McDonald’s, but the ad did not provide any further details.

Trump’s visit to the McDonald’s was met with mixed reactions from customers. One customer praised Trump, saying he made it possible for ordinary people to meet him and thanking him for his efforts. Another customer expressed concern that the US could become like Brazil, but Trump reassured him that he would make the country better than ever.

Trump’s visit to McDonald’s has sparked criticism from some, including MSNBC host Alex Witt and Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA). Witt called the visit “bizarre” and questioned the logic behind it, while Lee noted that there was no apparent reason for Trump to be at the restaurant. The incident has highlighted the ongoing feud between Trump and Harris, with Walz weighing in on the matter by criticizing Trump’s actions and highlighting Harris’s claims of working at McDonald’s.
