A woman in Tucson, Arizona, has been sentenced for poisoning her husband’s coffee after being caught on camera in the act. Melody Feliciano Johnson was sentenced to probation, as reported by Tuscon.com. She pleaded guilty to adding poison to her husband’s coffee and was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation and have no contact with the victim. The incident occurred while the couple was living in Germany in 2023 and going through a contentious divorce. The husband, Roby Johnson of the United States Air Force, noticed his coffee tasted off and set up hidden cameras to catch his wife pouring bleach into his coffeemaker. He discovered high levels of chlorine in the coffee pot and confronted his wife, who admitted to poisoning his coffee. It was speculated that she did it to benefit from life insurance benefits. The husband recorded the incident on video and the woman was sentenced to probation after spending a year in jail.
