An Ohio man has admitted guilt in creating and sharing videos showing extreme violence and sexual abuse towards monkeys, as announced by the U.S. Department of Justice. Ronald P. Bedra from Etna, Ohio, worked with others to produce videos depicting cruel acts against baby and adult monkeys, including sexual and physical abuse like limb severing. Bedra and unnamed accomplices used encrypted chat apps to send money to individuals in Indonesia to carry out the torture on camera. He also sent a USB drive containing 64 such videos to someone in Wisconsin. The details of the plea agreement were not disclosed in the released statement from the DOJ.
