Tourist randomly stabbed in front of daughter in Times Square

A visitor from Pennsylvania was attacked near Times Square in New York City on Saturday, according to sources. The 38-year-old woman was stabbed in the chest while walking with her daughter on 43rd Street and 8th Avenue around 6:13 p.m. The attack was unprovoked, sources added.

The suspect, a 61-year-old man known to the police, was apprehended and is currently undergoing a psychological evaluation. A knife was found at the scene of the incident.
