The upcoming November election is less than six months away and is causing anxiety for both Republicans and Democrats as the control of the country remains uncertain.

According to a recent poll by the New York Times/Siena College, former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in several swing states, while Republican Senate candidates are trailing Democrats in those same states. The races in these swing states are showing significant gaps between the candidates.

In Nevada, Trump is leading Biden by a significant margin among likely voters, and Democrats are holding a slight lead in the Senate race. In Arizona, Trump is also ahead of Biden in the presidential race, while Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego is leading Republican Kari Lake in the Senate race.

In Michigan, Trump is on track to redeem himself after previous losses in the state, but the Senate race remains uncertain. The battle for Michigan’s electoral votes is rated as a toss-up, while the Senate race is leaning Democratic.

Overall, the Senate race is crucial for Republicans to win control of the chamber in November, and the presidential race is also a toss-up. With competitive races in several key states, the GOP could potentially gain control of the Senate, especially with Trump’s consistent leads in polling.
