Sen. Rick Scott of Florida accused all those involved in former President Donald Trump’s trials of being part of the Democratic Party machine, claiming it is election interference. Trump is facing multiple legal battles as he considers running for president again, potentially setting up a rematch with President Joe Biden. Scott defended Trump as a friend and criticized the Democrats for attempting to prevent him from running for office.

During an appearance on Fox News Sunday, Scott criticized the Justice Department for sending a high-ranking official to lead the prosecution against Trump, noting the official’s connections to the Democratic Party. He also criticized the judge overseeing the case and accused everyone involved of being linked to the Democratic Party. Scott also spoke out against the gag order placed on Trump during his presidential campaign, suggesting it was an attempt to hinder his chances in the 2024 election.

Scott traveled to New York to support Trump in his hush money trial. He argued that Biden’s presidency has been marked by global conflicts, a porous southern border, and high inflation, making voters prefer Trump’s leadership. A poll showed that respondents trust Trump more than Biden on certain issues, such as inflation and crime. Senator Joe Manchin suggested that Trump could defeat Biden in the upcoming election.
