Mark Andrews Credits Divine Intervention for Saving His Life in Car Accident

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is sharing a harrowing story of how he believes God intervened to save his life in a car accident earlier this year. On August 14, Andrews was driving to the team’s training camp facility when his vehicle was involved in a two-car crash.

In a recent appearance on The Lounge podcast, Andrews revealed that he had been reminded to put on his seat belt just minutes before the accident, thanks to the sound of the seat belt chime. He believes that this was a divine warning that ultimately saved his life.

“I knew that if I wasn’t wearing my seat belt, I’d be slung all over the place,” Andrews said. “It saved my life. God had told me that, when I heard the seat belt sound, he told me to put it on.”

Andrews described the accident as a terrifying experience, saying that he had no control as his car veered out of control. “It was scary. I’ve never been pulled over, never been in an accident, nothing like that,” he said. “We play football, so I know what it feels like to be hit, but that was really different. Just kind of at God’s mercy and his will, and everything felt very slow in that moment.”

Since the accident, Andrews has experienced flashbacks and feelings of trauma, but he says that he is grateful to be alive and credits God for his protection. This is not the first time that Andrews has been in the news for his heroic actions. Earlier this year, he helped save the life of a woman who was going into a diabetic coma on a flight from Baltimore to Phoenix.
