In a scathing critique of the Biden administration, Steve Nikoui, the father of fallen Marine Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui, blasted the White House for its handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal. Nikoui’s comments came in response to the release of the House GOP report on the matter, stating that the administration’s deception has been exposed. “The report was very detailed and comprehensive, shedding light on the truth that the American people deserve to know,” Nikoui said. “The administration lied, whether it was Kamala Harris, Jen Psaki, or Karine Jean-Pierre, they all played a role in deceiving the public.”
Nikoui emphasized that the only ones who have politicized the issue are Democrats. “They’ve been lying from the very beginning, and now the truth is finally coming out,” he said. “The report has laid bare the facts of the Afghanistan withdrawal, and I don’t see how they can spin this in any way. The evidence is out there, and it’s clear that they’ve been trying to manipulate the narrative.”
Nikoui’s son, Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui, was one of the 13 service members killed in the 2021 Abbey Gate bombing. His father’s comments reflect the frustration and anger many families of the fallen have felt towards the administration’s handling of the withdrawal. The House GOP report has reignited the debate over the administration’s actions, and Nikoui’s words are a stark reminder of the human cost of those decisions.
