A traffic stop in Tyrone, Georgia, has raised eyebrows after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was seen accompanying her daughter, Kinaya, to the scene, along with a surprise passenger – Attorney Nathan Wade. The same Nathan Wade with whom Willis had a highly publicized affair earlier this year.
Despite both Willis and Wade claiming their romantic involvement was a thing of the past, police bodycam footage from August 24 shows them arriving together at the traffic stop. When questioned by the officer, Willis downplayed Wade’s presence, referring to him as “just a friend.”
The traffic stop was initiated when Kinaya Willis, 25, was pulled over for using her phone while driving. According to Kinaya, she was responding to a call from her mother, who was inquiring about her pregnancy. Unbeknownst to Kinaya, her license had been suspended in May for driving with a suspended license.
The officer informed Willis that her daughter’s license was suspended, to which Willis responded with surprise, saying it was “news to me.” Wade and Willis had arrived at the scene together, but they left in separate vehicles, with Wade driving away in the car they arrived in and Willis taking the wheel of her daughter’s car.
Kinaya Willis is set to appear in the Town of Tyrone Municipal Court on October 24 to face charges related to the traffic stop. Meanwhile, her mother, Fani Willis, continues to face scrutiny over her involvement in the case against former President Donald Trump, who is fighting to have her removed from the case due to her past relationship with Wade. Trump’s trial on charges of election interference in the 2020 presidential election remains on hold.
