Sen. Kaine: Harris’s ‘Vibes and Accomplishments’ Will Carry Her to Victory

Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) emphasized that Vice President Kamala Harris’s strengths lie in her “vibes and accomplishments” during a recent appearance on “Fox News Sunday”. Host Shannon Bream questioned the Vice President’s approach, noting that her website, KamalaHarris.com, still lacks policy specifics, and asked if she plans to “ride out” on her popularity.

Kaine countered that Harris’s “vibes and accomplishments” make her a strong candidate, citing her past stance on fracking as an example. During a 2019 presidential debate, Harris had taken a clear position on the issue, but now, as part of the Biden-Harris administration, she has been instrumental in advancing alternative energy investments, which have helped establish the US as the world’s largest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Kaine highlighted the significance of this achievement, particularly in the context of European energy security, where the US is helping allies reduce their reliance on Russian energy sources. The senator distinguished between campaigning and governing, suggesting that Harris has demonstrated her ability to work collaboratively and drive progress in her current role. “Governing is about bringing the team together and making things happen,” Kaine said, emphasizing that Harris has been effective in working with the administration, Congress, governors, and the private sector.
