A potential new feature for Instagram has been unearthed by mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi, suggesting that the platform may soon integrate with Spotify in real-time. According to the discovered code, Spotify tracks currently playing would automatically generate Notes on Instagram, visible to users who view a profile or inbox.
This functionality is reminiscent of a similar feature already available on Discord. While Instagram users can currently manually add Spotify songs to their Notes or Stories, the proposed automatic integration represents a notable expansion of this capability. However, the value of real-time music sharing on Instagram is uncertain, given that the app is not typically used for extended periods like other chat platforms.
