The pro-Sam Brown super PAC, Duty First Nevada, recently released an ad slamming one of Brown’s opponents in the Republican Senate primary, Jeff Gunter, as a “con man.” The ad, which was obtained by Truth Voices before its public release, criticizes Gunter, a dermatologist, for selling anti-wrinkle serum on late-night infomercials and highlights a lawsuit filed against him for health issues related to the product. Gunter, a former U.S. ambassador to Iceland, was identified as a registered California Democrat, despite running as a Republican in Nevada. The ad emphasizes Gunter’s past actions and questions his motives for running for Senate. Additionally, the ad mentions a lawsuit against Gunter for alleged harmful effects of the anti-wrinkle serum he promoted. Duty First Nevada continues to support Sam Brown in the primary race, citing his military service and resilience as key factors in his popularity among Nevada Republicans. The primary election is scheduled for June 11, with Gunter facing off against Brown, former Nevada State Rep. Jim Marchant, and retired Air Force Lt. Col. Tony Grady.
