Massie Reveals Complete Text of Resolution on Removing Johnson’s Gavel

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) have been diligently working for weeks to hold Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) accountable. Their actions culminated on Wednesday when they initiated a vote to remove Speaker Johnson.

Greene presented her resolution on the House floor, prompting Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) to call for a vote to table the resolution. In the end, 163 Democrats voted to keep Johnson in power in a 359 to 43 vote.

After the vote, Massie shared on Twitter the full text of Greene’s resolution, which criticized Johnson’s actions during his tenure as Speaker. The resolution highlighted various instances where Johnson failed to uphold his promises and work in the best interest of Republicans.
