REVIEW OVERVIEW

Pros: Slim profile. Good-quality burr grinder. Espresso is consistent and cremalicious. Intuitive controls. Good knobs.

Cons: Portafilter doesn’t attach to the grinder without an adapter. Espresso comes out in two directions unless you use an included quick fix. Cold-brew setting is a gimmick. Design issues hold back an otherwise great espresso machine.

The limited counter space in my kitchen always poses a challenge when a new espresso machine arrives. The De’Longhi Specialista Arte Evo, however, pleasantly surprised me with its slim design that fit perfectly without displacing any of my favorite appliances.

After some initial adjustment, the espresso shots from the machine turned out consistent and delicious, with a rich crema on top. The control knobs on the machine were a highlight, offering a tactile and satisfying user experience.

Measuring at just 11.2 inches wide, the Specialista Arte Evo saved valuable counter space by combining an espresso machine and coffee grinder into one sleek unit.

One small downside was the need to attach a “grinding and tamping guide” to prevent grounds from spilling when using the built-in conical burr grinder. This component felt a bit flimsy compared to the rest of the machine, but served its purpose effectively.

Overall, the De’Longhi Specialista Arte Evo proved to be a stylish, efficient, and space-saving addition to my kitchen, making it a welcome companion for any espresso lover.
