Tragic Car Accident Claims Lives of Two Young Indiana State Football Players

Caleb VanHooser and Christian Eubanks tragically lost their lives in a car accident near Terre Haute in Riley, Indiana. They were both members of the Indiana State University football team. The third victim of the crash was identified as Jayden Musili, 19, from Fort Wayne.

The collision occurred at 1:30 am on State Road 46 and Main Street, not far from the ISU campus. The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the vehicle was carrying five occupants, including the driver, and veered off the road before hitting a tree and catching fire. Omarion Dixon from Lafayette and John Moore from Wheaton, Illinois, were also injured in the crash and remain in serious condition.

The ISU President, Dr. Deborah J. Curtis, expressed her profound sadness over the tragedy and extended condolences to the families and friends of the students involved. The Indiana State football team also shared their condolences on social media and expressed their support for those affected by the accident.

VanHooser’s former high school, Lakota East High School, paid tribute to him and remembered his contributions to the football program. The entire community is mourning the loss of these young men and coming together to support each other during this difficult time.
