Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff Admits to Past Infidelity with Family Nanny

Second gentleman Doug Emhoff has publicly acknowledged his past infidelity, revealing that he cheated on his first wife, Kerstin Emhoff, with their children’s nanny, Najen Naylor. Emhoff’s statement to CNN comes after a report from the Daily Mail alleged that he had an affair with Naylor, who was 47 at the time, and got her pregnant.

Emhoff’s statement did not address the pregnancy allegations, but instead focused on taking responsibility for his actions and the impact they had on his family. “During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions,” Emhoff said. “I took responsibility, and in the years since, we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side.”

The Daily Mail report claimed that Naylor did not ultimately keep the baby, citing a close friend who had knowledge of the affair and alleged pregnancy. However, another friend of Naylor’s denied the pregnancy allegations, stating that “There was no baby.”

Naylor, who worked as a teaching assistant and teacher at the Willows Community School in Culver City, California, as well as a nanny for Emhoff’s daughter, Ella, reportedly told the Daily Mail that she was “kind of freaked out right now” and declined to comment on the story.

Kerstin Emhoff, Emhoff’s ex-wife, issued a statement praising her ex-husband as a “great father” to their children and a “great friend” to her. The two have maintained a close relationship despite their divorce, and have built a “warm and supportive blended family” with Emhoff’s current wife, Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Willows Community School, where Naylor worked, has a reputation for being a prestigious institution, with tuition prices ranging from $32,525 to $41,535. Naylor’s Facebook page features a video with three babies, including two who are confirmed to be the children of a friend, Stacey Brooks. However, the identity of the third baby is unclear.
