Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) launched a scathing attack on Vice President Kamala Harris on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, labeling her a “San Francisco liberal” who poses a threat to national security.
Cotton, who served alongside Harris on the Senate intelligence committee, claimed that her presidential campaign has already revealed her true colors as a “dangerous liberal” who would make America less safe and create more chaos in the world. He pointed to her involvement in the Biden administration’s decision to withdraw from Afghanistan as evidence of her questionable judgment.
“This is who Kamala Harris has always been,” Cotton said. “She’s a San Francisco liberal who cannot keep this country safe. The world under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has descended into chaos, and it will only get worse under her leadership.”
Cotton also criticized Harris’s policy positions, including her support for banning private health insurance, fossil fuel production, and certain types of guns. When anchor Jake Tapper pointed out that Harris does not want to ban all guns, Cotton shot back that she still wants to “forcibly confiscate guns without even an act of Congress.”
Cotton’s attack on Harris was relentless, with him concluding that she is a “dangerous liberal” who makes even Joe Biden look competent and moderate by comparison.
