The Trump campaign and Republican National Committee (RNC) set a new fundraising record in April by raising over $76 million, as reported by the RNC. This total surpassed the $65.6 million raised in March, with more than $40 million raised at a single event by their joint fundraising group, Trump 47 Committee. The RNC noted that over 50% of April’s donations came from small dollar donors.

RNC leaders expressed confidence in their fundraising success, stating that Americans are enthusiastic about re-electing President Trump and supporting Republicans in the upcoming election. They emphasized their commitment to building a strong party infrastructure and ensuring continued momentum for Trump’s campaign.

Trump campaign advisers also highlighted the significant support from small dollar donors, indicating a united Republican Party ready to defeat Joe Biden in November. The fundraising success followed a leadership overhaul at the RNC, with Lara Trump noting improved coordination between the campaign and the committee. She described the two entities as a “bonded entity” with streamlined operations, reflecting a new level of cooperation and coordination in the push for re-election.
