Review of Vodafone Pro II Ultra Hub: Fast Wi-Fi Connectivity with 4G Backup

0:00

The 4G backup service may not be necessary for most people if they have a stable internet connection, especially with full fibre. Those living in areas with 5G coverage can opt for faster backup service or even consider 5G home internet instead of wired broadband.

Although the Vodafone app is basic, it is user-friendly. Users can manage connected devices, set up a guest network, and easily share login details using a QR code. It also has a built-in troubleshooting feature to resolve network issues, but additional features like parental controls and enhanced security would be beneficial.

Many internet service providers in the UK supply outdated routers, with BT being a notable example. However, some providers now offer Wi-Fi 6 routers, like TalkTalk with its partnership with Amazon’s Eero. Pricing and availability for Vodafone Pro II services vary depending on location and required speed, starting at £39 per month with a two-year contract.

While Vodafone’s Pro II service and Ultra Hub router are impressive, some may still prefer to choose the best service based on their needs and budget and purchase a separate router or mesh system. This may require a higher upfront cost, but it could provide a comparable experience to the ISP-supplied equipment.
