A pastor narrowly escaped harm when a gunman attempted to shoot him during a church service in western Pennsylvania. Pastor Glenn Germany was delivering a sermon at Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church near Pittsburgh when an unidentified gunman approached him, pointed a gun, and attempted to fire. Fortunately, the gun malfunctioned, and the bullet did not discharge, with Pastor Germany crediting divine intervention for saving him.

The pastor recounted how the gunman moved towards him and pulled out the gun, causing him to duck and take cover. Deacon Clarence McCallister, who was filming the sermon, noticed the situation and bravely tackled the gunman to the ground. Together, Pastor Germany and Deacon McCallister were able to disarm the assailant and hold him until the police arrived.

In a social media post, Pastor Germany expressed gratitude for Deacon McCallister’s heroic actions, praising him as a true hero and thanking him for risking his life to protect others. The gunman claimed that voices in his head compelled him to shoot the pastor, but thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. Pastor Germany reflected on the close call, acknowledging the danger he faced but feeling grateful for divine protection.
