Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) expressed her gratitude for being considered as a potential running mate for former President Donald Trump in November. Alongside other prominent Republicans like Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Stefanik attended a donor retreat at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Resort. She shared her excitement about being “in the mix” for the vice presidential selection, highlighting the unity and strength of the Republican Party.

Stefanik praised the rising stars within the GOP and noted the diverse range of individuals being considered for the running mate position. While the event generated buzz, reports indicate that Trump is still early in the process of selecting his running mate for the upcoming election.

Historically, non-incumbents typically announce their running mate just before their party’s national convention. In 2016, Trump revealed his running mate shortly before the Republican National Convention. As preparations are made for the 2024 RNC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the anticipation for Trump’s decision continues to grow.
