Trump Visits Formula One Grand Prix in Miami

Presidential hopeful Donald Trump made an appearance at the Formula One Grand Prix race in Miami, Florida over the weekend. Trump received cheers of “USA” from the crowd as he waved to spectators and stood for the National Anthem with a salute.

Amidst his ongoing legal issues in New York, Trump’s public appearances like this are crucial for his visibility as he campaigns for the upcoming presidential election in November. In addition to attending this race, Trump has also been seen at Ultimate Fighting Championship events, where he sits ringside. He was already in Florida for a private donor retreat with Governors Doug Burgum and Kristi Noem.

The race saw McLaren driver Lando Norris from the UK take first place, marking the team’s first win since 2021. However, Kevin Magnussen finished last after receiving a 10-second penalty for a collision with Logan Sargeant during the race. Sargeant was unharmed as a result of the incident.

Looking ahead, two more Grand Prix races are scheduled to take place in the United States this season.
