A family in the Kansas City metro area is feeling frustrated five months after their loved one was killed in a hit-and-run incident. The family is upset because there is video evidence of at least two individuals involved in the crash admitting their role, yet there have been no arrests made.

The teens involved in the crash showed up at James Eatman Jr’s family home days after the incident, confessing to being in the stolen car that caused the man’s death. The family handed over the video to detectives, but months later, there has been no progress in the case.

The family expressed their disappointment with the lack of effort or concern from authorities in bringing justice for their loss. They feel like they have done all they can to push for closure.

The crash occurred near 31st and Agnes, and after hitting Eatman’s car, the suspects fled on foot. The Kansas City Police Department stated that the process of identifying suspects and presenting findings to prosecutors must be completed before any arrests can be made.

The family continues to hope that charges will be filed soon and that they can find closure for the loss of their loved one. They described the victim as a superhero in their eyes, capable of achieving anything big or small.
