Mexican authorities discover bodies of missing surfers

The bodies of three missing surfers, an American and two Australian brothers, have been found in Mexico. Mexican authorities confirmed the discovery of the bodies in La Bocana, located 130 miles south of San Diego, California. The surfers, Jack Carter Rhoad, Jake Robinson, and Callum Robinson, were last seen on April 27 at San Miguel Beach in Mexico. The men were driving a white Chevrolet pickup truck, which has been recovered by police along with other evidence. Three suspects have been arrested in connection with their disappearance. The missing Australians’ mother, Debra Robinson, made an appeal for help in finding her sons, one of whom is diabetic. The area where the men vanished is known for cartel violence, with high homicide rates. A human rights activist shared the grim reality of ongoing violence in the region.
