In an epic Triple Crown race, Mystik Dan, an 18-1 underdog, surprised everyone by winning in a thrilling three-way photo finish. Despite leading down the stretch, Mystik Dan faced tough competition from Sierra Leone and Fierceness. Fierceness, the favorite, finished a disappointing 15th.
