Man detained for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman with Alzheimer’s

A 22-year-old man, Walker Gabriel Munoz, has been arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly sexually assaulting an elderly woman in her home. The incident occurred when Munoz knocked on the woman’s door on Pierce Street at 6:50 p.m. on April 29. The 81-year-old woman, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, let him into her home. Munoz then initiated physical contact and attempted to sexually assault her, with parts of the encounter captured on a home security camera. The woman was taken to a local hospital for a sexual assault exam. Munoz was apprehended by officers from the LAPD’s Foothill Division on suspicion of kidnapping with the intent to commit rape. He is currently being held at Metropolitan Detention Center on $2,125,000 bail.
