Dan Crenshaw criticizes MTG for threatening to remove speaker

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) criticized Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for her renewed efforts to remove Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) from his position. Crenshaw expressed his disapproval during an interview with Fox News’s Neil Cavuto, stating that Greene was seeking attention and questioning the basis for her motion to vacate the speaker.

Crenshaw questioned the validity of Greene’s claims, suggesting that Johnson had simply allowed necessary bills related to national security to be voted on, as per the democratic process outlined in the Constitution. Despite Greene’s intentions to proceed with the motion, Crenshaw highlighted that she and other supporters had not presented viable plans for important issues like border security.

Greene intends to push forward with the motion next week, with support from Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ). Crenshaw emphasized the importance of Republican unity and leadership, calling for a focus on substantive solutions rather than political games.

In response to Greene’s actions, Johnson labeled her as “not a serious lawmaker,” a sentiment that Crenshaw echoed. He urged voters to see through the political maneuvers and prioritize meaningful action over sensationalism.
