Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expressed his support for the violent anti-Semitic protests happening on American college campuses. He praised the demonstrators for criticizing the “Israeli regime” and condemned the “American police and security forces” for trying to restore order.
Amir-Abdollahian stated that the actions of the American police and security forces against professors and students protesting the Israeli regime’s genocide and war crimes are deeply concerning to the global public opinion. He called out the American government for its dual policy and contradictory behavior towards freedom of expression.
He urged the White House to stop supporting the Israeli regime’s war crimes and to be held accountable for its actions. Iranian state media also supported the protests on American campuses, praising them for supporting Hamas terrorists and criticizing the American authorities for crackdowns on the demonstrations.
The protests on American campuses have escalated, with the University of Southern California canceling its graduation ceremony due to security concerns and canceling the valedictorian speech because of calls for Israeli genocide.
