Actor Alec Baldwin recently celebrated 40 years of sobriety and reflected on his past struggles with drugs and alcohol in a candid conversation with Paul Anka and Skip Bronson. Baldwin admitted to a cocaine addiction that lasted for two years, describing the drug as a daily necessity during that time. He also revealed that his drinking increased after he stopped using drugs, leading to a struggle with alcohol as well.
Despite his past struggles, Baldwin stated that he does not miss drugs but does miss drinking. He confessed to enjoying alcohol, although he is currently banned from drinking and owning a gun due to his upcoming trial for involuntary manslaughter in relation to the tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of a film in 2021.
