Joe Biden’s Approach to Immigration Mirrors the EU’s

Former Department of Homeland Security Deputy Secretary Chad Wolf has pointed out similarities between President Joe Biden’s immigration policies and the European Union’s (EU) policies, which have resulted in immigration crises across Western Europe. Wolf highlighted the liberal approach of allowing more migrants into EU member states, which he sees mirrored in the Biden administration’s policies in the United States.

Wolf emphasized the importance of deterring migrants rather than processing them, advocating for a selective approach to granting asylum. He mentioned that the recent EU migration pact could lead to increased migration and penalize countries like Hungary for not accepting migrants. Similarly, Texas is facing legal challenges for its border protection efforts.

The EU’s immigration agreement aims to redistribute migrants among member states or provide support to frontline countries like Italy, Greece, and Spain. It also aims to expedite asylum processing while ensuring rejected applicants are returned promptly. Despite opposition from countries like Poland and Hungary, the agreement includes provisions for alternative contributions in place of accepting migrants.

Furthermore, Wolf highlighted the recent protests in Hamburg, Germany, where demonstrators called for an Islamic state and the enforcement of Sharia law in Europe. He underscored that many detrimental immigration policies in the U.S. originated in Europe and stressed the need to prioritize American interests over adopting flawed practices.

Additionally, former Trump administration officials, including Matt Mowers and Joseph Grogan, are pushing back against EU policies infiltrating the U.S. They are part of the EU-US Forum, launching a media campaign in Hungary to oppose liberal EU policies ranging from limiting free speech to immigration. The campaign includes billboards urging citizens to stand against illegal immigration and prioritize safety.

In conclusion, Wolf and other officials are calling for a proactive approach to immigration policy that prioritizes national security and the well-being of American communities. They warn against adopting misguided practices from the EU and emphasize the need to protect American interests above all else.
