Attorneys for Hunter Biden reportedly filed a motion on Monday requesting a “new trial on all counts,” only to withdraw the motion shortly after.
NBC News reporter Gary Grumbach stated that attorneys for President Joe Biden’s son asked Judge Maryellen Noreika, who oversaw Hunter’s gun trial, for a “new trial on all counts for lack of jurisdiction.”
The motion was subsequently “deleted at the request of the counsel,” according to Court Listener.
Hunter Biden faces charges including one count of making a false statement in the purchase of a firearm, one count of possessing a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance, and one count of making a false statement concerning information required for a licensed federal firearms dealer to keep.
He is facing up to 25 years in prison and approximately $750,000 in fines, according to court documents.
