Parents in a community in Colorado are expressing anger and concern after a transgender sex offender reportedly attempted to kidnap a child during recess at an elementary school. The individual, identified as 33-year-old Solomon Galligan, was captured on surveillance footage entering the playfield at Black Forest Hills Elementary School in Aurora. Galligan, who had previously been convicted of inappropriate touching, allegedly tried to grab a boy before tripping and lunging at another child who managed to escape. Witnesses reported the incident and Galligan left the campus.

Galligan was later spotted at a nearby store by a parent and was subsequently arrested by police. It was revealed that he was a registered sex offender and was booked into jail on kidnapping charges. Despite his arrest, parents are demanding increased security measures at the school and for staff to be more vigilant. They want an independent investigation, administrative actions, and additional safety measures such as fencing and surveillance equipment. The Cherry Creek School District is conducting an investigation into the incident and has assured that safety is a top priority.
