NEW YORK CITY — Police have apprehended the suspect accused of robbing a 10-year-old boy while he was walking with his 7-year-old sister in Brooklyn, as reported by the NYPD.
Demba Ba, 24, was taken into custody on Friday in connection with the incident. Ba allegedly approached the young boy around 11:02 a.m. on June 7, police stated. He then took eight dollars from the young victim before fleeing the scene, authorities said.
Ba faces charges including robbery, grand larceny, harassment, and other offenses, according to the NYPD.
Neither the young boy nor his sister sustained any injuries during the incident.
