Lawsuit Filed by Florida Against Biden Administration Regarding Title IX Modifications

0:00

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the state is suing President Joe Biden’s administration over changes to Title IX that mandate the acceptance of transgender ideology. DeSantis stated that Florida will not comply with the unlawful changes and will fight back against the harmful agenda. The new Title IX regulations promote gender confusion by using the term “gender identity” instead of biological sex. Florida Commissioner on Education, Manny Diaz Jr., confirmed that the state will fight the new rule, which is set to take effect on August 1, 2024. DeSantis supported Diaz’s stance, emphasizing that Florida rejects Biden’s attempt to rewrite Title IX. Florida now joins Texas in suing the Biden administration over the changes to Title IX. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton also filed a lawsuit against the administration, arguing that the new rule violates federal law and denies women the protections intended by Title IX. Florida’s lawsuit is part of a series of legal challenges against the Biden administration’s push for transgender ideology in various sectors, including workplaces.
