Lara Trump, Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, shared a touching video of the former president embracing his grandchildren, just a day after a jury convicted him in his business records trial.

“This is why he does it,” Lara Trump captioned the video.

The post came a day after a New York jury found Trump guilty of all 34 counts of falsifying business records related to payments made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election.

As previously reported, such actions are “normally a misdemeanor, for which the statute of limitations had already expired.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg elevated the charges to felonies, asserting that the alleged falsifications were intended to conceal a federal crime.

Ivanka Trump, the former president’s second child, also shared a heartwarming photo on her Instagram story, hours after the jury’s verdict. The photo featured a young Ivanka with her father.

“I love you dad,” Ivanka wrote.

Trump’s sentencing is scheduled for July 11, just four days before the Republican National Convention starts on July 15.

Donald Trump Jr., the former president’s eldest son, responded to the verdict, calling it “such bulls**t.”
