Department of Labor Calls Women ‘Menstruators’

Future generations may find the infantilization of 21st-century American society laughable. One example is a blog by the Department of Labor about “Menstrual Hygiene Day.” The authors referred to those who menstruate as “menstruators,” rather than “women,” a term familiar to most people.

Menstruation affects half the U.S. workforce but talking about it at work can be taboo,” a post by the Department of Labor on X read. “For #MenstrualHygieneDay, here are 5 easy actions employers can take to help menstruators thrive at work.”

This post promoted a blog by the Department of Labor highlighting menstruation challenges faced by women. Interestingly, while it focused on menstruation and offered suggestions for corporations, the authors never used the words “woman” or “women” to describe those who actually menstruate.

Terms like “menstruators,” “menstruating employees,” and a reference to menstruation as a “natural part of half our population’s life” were the only phrases used. The word “women” appeared only to promote the “Women’s Bureau.”

One suspects they did not see the irony here.

Admittedly, a day dedicated to “Menstrual Hygiene” seems unnecessary. Nevertheless, while I find its existence silly, the real issue is using the term “menstruators” instead of “women.” Only women can menstruate, and suggesting otherwise is misleading.

While “menstruators” could technically differentiate between women who menstruate and those who do not, this term’s use seems to align with a broader agenda to reshape norms and culture according to left-wing values.

Consider a chapter titled “Degendering Menstruation: Making Trans Menstruators Matter.” from a book on “menstruation studies,” published on the National Institutes of Health website. It sheds light on why the Department of Labor excluded women when discussing menstruation, illustrating the attempt to replace science with extremist gender ideology.

Klara Rydstrom, the book’s author, aimed to “critically explore the nature of menstruation, which many perceive to be a strictly female bodily function despite many scholars’ recognition that menstruators are of various gender identities.” Rydstrom also stated that “not all who menstruate are women.”

Such views are dogma designed to appease radicalized groups. Rydstrom manipulated information to align it with sociopolitical values under the guise of scientific research.

First was the attempt to normalize “birthing persons” instead of mothers to include trans men. Now, this extends to the term “menstruators.”

The radical gender ideology movement poses one of the country’s most significant political threats. It lacks scientific basis, being driven by opinions and emotions. It resembles political propaganda used in early 20th-century Russia and mid-20th-century China.

The Department of Labor’s actions are disgraceful, using biology to push political agendas, reshape culture, and redefine language. In just a few years, radical gender extremists have attempted to replace women in society by changing language.

Any scholar who backs Rydstrom’s perspective should have their credentials revoked. It’s as fictional as the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and Santa Claus. It’s political propaganda attacking culture, aiming to destroy societal norms and create a socialist and communist utopia. It is modern-day Lysenkoism, and it must be resisted and rejected strongly.
