It has been reported that former President Donald Trump has received an invitation to attend rapper Waka Flocka Flame’s concert in Miami, Florida, in a few weeks. This development comes as Trump continues to garner support from the rap community.

Michael Costeines, a reporter for Florida’s Voice, reported on the invitation for the June 14 concert, which coincides with Trump’s birthday:

While specific details are yet to be disclosed, two sources informed Florida’s Voice that negotiations are underway between Trump’s team and the concert organizers. The event is scheduled for next month. “We reached out to him because we were aware of his public support for President Trump, and we received an immediate response. He and his team were eager to discuss it,” one source told Florida’s Voice. “They mentioned several issues that they said had opened Waka’s eyes to President Trump.”

Waka Flocka Flame, known for his hit “Hard in Da Paint,” expressed his support for Trump in October with a straightforward tweet.

The news of the invitation comes on the heels of Trump’s appearance with Brooklyn drill rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow at a Bronx rally.

Several other rappers have openly endorsed Trump, either in relation to the election or his legal battles.

Lil Pump endorsed Trump in 2020 and even got a tattoo of Trump’s face on his thigh earlier this year. Rapper Kodak Black, pardoned by Trump, defended the 45th president in April 2023 after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a 34-count indictment against Trump.

“I feel like these people are on some other shit,” Kodak Black said. “They’re gonna try to get Trump out the way ’cause Trump a stand-up nigga. Biden will let a nigga do anything.”
