House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) stated on Friday during MSNBC’s “Deadline” that the “MAGA extremists” on the Supreme Court need to be regulated with a “legislative effort to implement an ethical code of conduct.”
Jeffries commented, “This is part of the challenge we face with a runaway Supreme Court that seems to operate as though the Judiciary is above the law. For years, members of Congress in both the House and the Senate have suggested that it’s time for the Supreme Court to adopt an ethical code of conduct that is enforceable.”
Jeffries continued, “Congress has an ethical code of conduct that is enforceable by law. The executive branch has an ethical code of conduct enforceable under law. We need to get the MAGA extremists on the Supreme Court under control.”
