If Presidents are immune from criminal prosecution, then a future president could determine that since crime is too high, we must force potentially dangerous gun owners to renounce their citizenship and be deported to Mexico. They could then reapply for citizenship on a case by case basis.
And Presidential Immunity means the Supreme Court would have to say “the 2nd Amendment applies to state and local governments. However, if the President wants to suspend the 2nd Amendment to deal with a crisis, it’s legal. And Presidents have absolute authority in matters of immigration and citizenship.” 🤦♂️😵
