Gas Prices Go Up

Gas prices experienced a slight increase from Monday, marking the first rise after several days of consecutive declines.

According to AAA, the current national average price for regular gas is $3.598 per gallon, compared to Monday’s $3.59 per gallon.

A week ago, regular gas averaged $3.612 per gallon, while a month ago, it was $3.673 per gallon.

Despite this recent decrease, today’s regular gas price remains higher than it was a year ago, when the average cost was $3.539 per gallon, according to AAA.

California continues to have the highest gas prices in the nation, averaging $5.188 per gallon for regular-grade gas. Mississippi has the lowest prices, with an average of $3.057 per gallon. To view gas prices in each state, click here.

Here are the gas prices across different states and regions in the mid-Atlantic:

Washington, D.C.

The average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas in the nation’s capital is $3.719, slightly lower than yesterday’s $3.721. A week ago, it was $3.732.

Maryland

In Maryland, a gallon of regular-grade gas costs $3.555, up from Monday’s $3.544 per gallon. Both prices are lower than last week’s average of $3.571 per gallon.

Virginia

In Virginia, the average price for a gallon of regular-grade gas is $3.436, up from Monday’s $3.398 per gallon. Last week, it averaged $3.438 per gallon, according to AAA.

Pennsylvania

In Pennsylvania, the average price of regular-grade gas is $3.758 per gallon, compared to Monday’s $3.741. A week ago, it was $3.764.

Delaware

In Delaware, regular-grade gas averages $3.449 per gallon, below the national average. On Monday, it was $3.453 per gallon, and a week ago, it was $3.489 per gallon.
