NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Ryan Sieg was involved in a scary moment at Dover International Speedway on Saturday when his vehicle caught fire. Sieg had to quickly evacuate the burning car after the fire started under the hood near the right front tire, forcing him to stop in Turn 2.

Afterwards, Sieg was evaluated and released from the infield care center. He told Fox Sports that the car had a lot of smoke with no indication of what happened before it suddenly caught fire. Despite the incident, Sieg mentioned that they had a good car and it was disappointing.

Following Sieg’s incident, his teammate Blaine Perkins also experienced a fiery situation on Lap 52 when his car caught fire. It seems like the mechanics at RSS Racing will have their work cut out for them after these incidents.
