Former President Donald Trump criticized Bidenomics, rising inflation, and the high cost of groceries during a speech at the Minnesota Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Reagan Dinner. Trump pointed out the significant increases in prices for groceries, eggs, electricity, gasoline, and car insurance, as well as the decrease in real wages. He described inflation as a “country buster” under the Biden administration, leading to financial difficulties for millions of Americans in affording basic necessities like cars, homes, and rent.

Trump labeled inflation under Biden as a “colossal tax” on American families, referring to it as the “Biden Inflation Tax” and emphasizing its impact on household budgets. He criticized President Biden for falsely claiming that inflation was at nine percent when he took office, when in reality it was only at 1.4 percent. Trump highlighted the strain on Minnesota families, estimating that they are losing over $1,000 per month due to price increases.

The former President also highlighted the challenges faced by young Americans in purchasing homes, cars, and paying rent under Biden’s inflationary policies. He pointed out the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in recent months, indicating a significant increase in prices compared to a year ago. Trump concluded by expressing concern over the financial hardships faced by Americans, especially young individuals, as a result of the current economic situation.
