Cardi B, known by her legal name Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, has once again criticized Joe Biden, joining a group of celebrities of color who are distancing themselves from the Democratic presidential candidate this November. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Cardi B stated that she will not be voting in the 2024 elections, citing her disappointment with the current president.

Cardi B expressed her frustration with the allocation of $26.38 billion to Israel under Biden’s leadership during the conflict in Gaza. She suggested that artists of color can face backlash for speaking out against the war.

The rapper criticized the United States for engaging in endless wars for its own benefit, rather than helping countries where children are being killed daily. She questioned America’s portrayal as a superhero and emphasized the need for actions to be driven by genuine motives.

While few celebrities have endorsed Biden in this election cycle, some like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have rescinded their support. Others, like Mindy Kaling and Lizzo, have endorsed Biden by participating in fundraising events for the candidate.

Biden has made efforts to appeal to black voters, announcing additional federal funding for historically black colleges and universities. He is scheduled to speak at Morehouse College’s commencement ceremony, showing his commitment to the black community.
