47 Pounds of Meth Seized in Tucson, Two Suspects Arrested

In Tucson, Arizona, drug enforcement agents seized 47 pounds of methamphetamine and arrested two suspected traffickers. An undercover DEA agent made contact with a man who offered to sell over 21 kilos of meth for $37,000. The man, Richard Ernest Bernal Yribe, agreed to meet the agent at a house in Tucson to retrieve the drugs from an undisclosed location. DEA agents set up surveillance at the house and witnessed Bernal and Carlos Morgan Felix arrive in a gray Dodge Ram 3500 with Washington state plates. A search of the home and vehicle revealed a handgun, cocaine, and 21 kilograms of meth. Bernal and Morgan were arrested on charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and appeared in federal court in Tucson.
