A Maine resident received two mysterious packages from California containing $2 million worth of fentanyl, police said. The Winslow Police Department is investigating the incident after the resident reported the packages on May 3. The packages contained multiple bags of pills that tested positive for fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid. A second package with more pills was delivered the next day. The total weight of the pills was nearly 30 pounds, with an estimated street value of $2 million. The method of delivery is unknown, and the investigation is ongoing with no further updates provided by Deputy Police Chief Randy Wing.
