Police carried out a raid on an anti-Israel encampment at Fordham University, resulting in the arrest of 15 individuals. This encampment emerged following a similar one at Columbia University, as reported by Breitbart News. The protesters had set up tents inside a building on the campus, identifying it as a ‘Gaza solidarity encampment.’ The New York Police Department, in riot gear, conducted raids on anti-Israel encampments at Columbia University and the City University of New York (CUNY) on Tuesday evening.

Fordham University president, Tania Tetlow, criticized the encampment, likening it to burglary and expressing regret over the necessity to involve law enforcement. Despite acknowledging the passionate sentiments surrounding Gaza and Israel, Tetlow emphasized that the encampment had crossed a line by intruding into a classroom building. Similar encampments have surfaced in various locations across the nation, including UCLA.
